How refunds work on completed and incomplete domain transactions.

The short version

Domain purchases are final once the transfer completes. If a transfer fails through no fault of yours (seller can't deliver, payment provider error, or our error), you get a full refund through escrow.

1. Pre-transfer refunds

If you fund escrow but the seller cannot deliver the domain (it was transferred elsewhere, registry-locked beyond a reasonable hold, or otherwise unavailable), the escrow provider returns 100% of your payment within 5 business days.

2. In-process disputes

If a dispute arises during the escrow inspection window (typically 5 days after we deliver the auth code), the escrow provider mediates between buyer and seller. Common outcomes:

  • Seller fixes the issue — transaction continues.
  • Buyer accepts a partial refund — payment adjusted.
  • Mediation rules in buyer's favor — full refund minus escrow fee (typically 1.5–4% depending on transaction size).

3. Post-transfer refunds

Once the domain is in your control at the destination registrar AND the inspection window has passed, the transaction is final. We cannot refund a successfully delivered domain. This is industry-standard for domain aftermarket sales.

4. Chargeback fraud

Filing a chargeback after a successful, undisputed transfer is a violation of these terms. We will dispute fraudulent chargebacks with documentation and may suspend the offending account.

5. Tax invoice corrections

If your tax invoice contains errors (wrong GSTIN, wrong company name), email [email protected] within 30 days of issue and we'll re-issue at no charge.

6. Service-related refunds

For any non-domain service (premium support packages, listing upgrades, if applicable), refunds are pro-rated to the unused portion of the term, requested within 14 days of charge.

7. How to request a refund

  1. Email [email protected] with your order number.
  2. Briefly explain the situation. Attach any relevant evidence (screenshots, registrar emails).
  3. We respond within 2 business days. If escrow mediation is needed, we open the dispute on your behalf.
