This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies NameHippo uses, and how you can control them.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — language, login state, items in a cart, and so on.
2. Cookies we use
2.1 Strictly necessary (cannot be disabled)
- ci_session — keeps you logged in across pages. Expires after 2 hours of inactivity.
- nh_csrf — protects against cross-site request forgery on form submissions.
- nh_dev — device fingerprint for fraud prevention on login.
2.2 Analytics (you can opt out)
- Google Analytics — measures site usage so we can improve features. Anonymized IP addresses, no personal identifiers.
2.3 Marketing (you can opt out)
We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies.
3. How to control cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through settings. Be aware that disabling strictly necessary cookies will break login and checkout. To opt out of analytics, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
